NASA ER 2 - called the "The Near Space Plane" (and was a derivative of the USAF U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane). This was a high altitude reconnaissance spy aircraft (the USAF U-2), and a scientific research aircraft for NASA used to carry experiments and sensors to investigate such matters as earth resources, celestial phenomena, atmospheric chemistry and dynamics, and oceanic processes.
This is an AUTHENTIC VINTAGE PHOTO ~ NOT A REPRODUCTION. The frame is 10 x 8", so presumably, the photo is just a tad smaller than that. I will ship the item in the frame.

lying over unknown city ... my guess is San Francisco as I have a similar photo with the Golden Gate Bridge in the photo.
I purchased this in an estate sale along with many other photos of aircraft and Navy & USAF items.
